Oh the weather outside is frightful…
Two feet of snow on the ground, but compact, solid wet snow, made denser by the rain (they call it wintery mix)…..and it is still coming down.
Thank the goddess I have my very own “snow fairy”. A much younger, stronger friend who has a big snowblower and came over to dig us out.
One of our neighbors was doing everything by hand (he will hurt tonight), another was using a snowblower to get his drive clean and another neighbors. A brand new neighbor had someone with a truck and a plow blade come over to clear his drive.
I managed to clear off the step and about 6 feet out on the front sidewalk (that took about 45 minutes as each foot took 3 shovels full to clear), and then a path on the deck so the dogs could at least get a running start.
Supposed to get 4-5 more inches before midnight.
Last night I made a big pot of chili, today a crockpot full of pot roast. Battening down the hatches now.
Once again, I’m jealous of the snowfall! I’m just not ready for winter to end, and still want one major storm!

cris i have to be honest, i don’t envy you one little bit, however as odd as it sounds i would love to see it…i’ve never lived anywhere that i’ve needed to dig myself out of, and i’m not sure i could deal with it…i can deal with poisonous snakes though, they don’t worry me!!! strange woman, i know

I love snow. But not the kind we get here. Well not HERE, but further south. It’s never enough to be that white blanket, it’s like a mud pit in reality!
