Granddaughters a Deux
On Thursday this week we had a first. Both of our granddaughters in one house, for an overnight! It was a pretty mellow night, or as mellow as can be when you have 2 children who were onlies for much of their little lives. We had a few “she stole it”’s, and reminders to share. The Buglet slept with Mam’s and the peanut slept with her mama.
The next day was more trial by fire….although I was not around to experience it. Because the Buglet was raised in this house, she claims it as “home”, and we have kept her room, and some special toys. When Auntie R and the peanut came to stay we asked the buglet if they could use “her room”….and of course she said yes. There was a bit more transition when she was actually here though. It was still her house, her things, and most important her people.
But they worked it out and a good time was had by all. I hope these girl cousins will grow up close to each other.

Sounds like goodness all round to me! Kids fightin, bonding, not sharing
I’m sure they’ll be friends. Some of my fondest memories were with cousins cos they never seem to piss you off as much as siblings do!! Maybe thats because the time spent together is less..
Kelly
My cousins were all much younger, so it was “different”. I was glad the girls had fun together.
always nice when this type of thing happens….i actually remember the times kel is referring to and they used to have a ball because they saw so little of each other…..
